What does iifym mean?
IIFYM is the acronym for "If it fits your Macros". It is also called Flexible Dieting, Macro Counting or Flex.
HOw does it work?
Each day we are responsible to eat a certain number of the macro nutrients Protein Carbohydrates (carbs) Fat and the micro nutrient Fiber When we "hit our macros" we are done for the day.
I don't like fish, mushrooms. I can't drink milk. do i have to eat food I don't like?
IIFYM is not a 'diet'. We don't tell you what to eat. You should eat food that makes you happy. You must hit your macros and fiber daily so eat what you want. Never eat food you hate. Gross.
do i have to eat vegetables? I guess i can't have fruit though. you can't lose weight and eat fruit.
The best part about IIFYM is that you have a wonderful nutrition base to your food. You will have a designated amount of veggies and fruit each day. If you want fruit, enjoy it. Carbs are carbs. That's science. Fruit has fiber and has lots of great nutritional value. mmmmmm
so i can eat what i want. can i have waffles?
The answer is : If it fits your macros. You can eat what you want.. If it fits your macros.
I don't eat sugar. I eat "clean" "healthy" "paleo" "gluten free" "veg" "Vegan' I'm not eating a bunch of crap.
Oh perfect!! you can pick all the food you want to eat yourself! We will help you learn how to hit your macros but you pick the food.
YOu can't lose weight and eat poptarts. I know it. dr. oz said so.
Science says differently. Carbs are carbs. You can say some foods are 'dirty' and some are 'clean'. All food has macros. ALL FOOD. The way to lose body fat is to be in a deficit of calories. You can 1. eat less calories and 2. burn them off by training/moving.
Food quality is a 'thing'. All food has macros and micro nutrients. Even things like Snickers! Our job is to eat a large portion of our day with fruits, veggies, hit our protein and fiber and we can have some discretionary foods too. We will help you learn exactly how to do that! You will be thrilled to have so many fun choices.
Oh, and Dr. Oz gets a check from all the pills he endorses. So stop listening to stuff about fad diets and eat some good food.
do i have to measure my food?
Your body counts macros whether you do or not. Our bodies have the potential to store unlimited amounts of fat. If you are fluffy, you are probably eating in a surplus for what your body needs. If you are not counting your macros, you are guessing! Of course you will weigh your food. We can be accountable for what we eat. After the first week, it gets super easy to do it! You need a digital gram scale and a macro tracker for your phone. You'll be golden. We all do it. ;)
i can't cook. i don't know what to eat.
oh no.. you don't know what to eat? How are you getting through your days!! Of course you know what to eat!! We are all grown ups and we do not need another person to tell us what to eat! The cool thing is, you can eat like YOU. We don't need to start over with a whole new menu, let's just tweak what you normally eat and help you be successful.
You don't have to cook. If you like to cook.. it's cool too. It's all good. I promise, we'll tell you how to do it like the pros! Mind blowing!!
I don't want to think about all this food . can you send me a menu?
I hear you.. If I send a menu over and you don't like what I put on it, you will want to have something else instead. Swapping out foods is basically macro counting. Congratulations.

The macro calculators on the web are fine but your coach will talk to you about YOU and we will figure out what macros are right for you. Frankly, we get clients coming to us with crazy macros from those calculators. There are some things a person needs to understand to set them just right, especially for competition prep, reverse dieting and modifications. Sometimes we give clients more food and they get leaner! We will fine tune your macros if you work with us.
Our class is just $50 for the basic class. We will teach you the solid true basics of the original IIFYM protocol. We will focus on the criteria and how to be successful . We will flesh out the myths of dieting and teach you the straight forward approach that has been working for our clients. We will tell you the things NOT to do! We teach you how to get through social situations without dragging your food in tupperware. If you want to be successful in your weight control, you must take this class. We have it locked down! Our team, Sleek Bikini Team is a 100 percent IIFYM team. IIFYM for competition is amazing. You can learn it. Our IIFYM class for competitors will help you understand how to do your off season. But it will help you understand how to take what you learn in off season and apply it to your prep and peak week. Our team can eat what they like and we do follow the original IIFYM protocol. We are not simply giving you swaps for a few items. As coaches, we are very passionate about competitors no longer starving for stage. Stage lean is extreme and it's not easy but variety makes sense!
